Continuous casting machine in steelmaking
Continuous casting machine is an important equipment in the steelmaking process.
1. Function In steelmaking, the continuous casting machine continuously casts molten steel into billets of a specific shape. It replaces the traditional mold casting process, greatly improves production efficiency and reduces production costs.
2. Working principle 1. Molten steel injection: The refined molten steel is injected into the tundish of the continuous casting machine.
2. Crystallizer forming: The molten steel flows from the tundish into the crystallizer, where it is cooled to form a billet shell with a certain shape.
3. Billet drawing and straightening
The billet with the billet shell is pulled out of the crystallizer by the billet drawing machine, and straightened in subsequent equipment to eliminate the bending of the billet induction furnace cooling system.
4. Cutting: According to the required length, the continuously pulled billet is cut into a fixed length by a cutting device.
3. Types 1. According to the structural form, it can be divided into vertical continuous casting machine, vertical bending continuous casting machine, arc continuous casting machine, elliptical continuous casting machine, horizontal continuous casting machine, etc.
2. According to the cross-sectional shape of the ingot, it can be divided into square billet continuous casting machine, slab billet continuous casting machine, round billet continuous casting machine, etc.
IV. Advantages 1. Improve production efficiency: realize continuous production and greatly shorten the production cycle.
2. Improve product quality: the quality of the ingot is uniform and the internal structure is dense.
3. Reduced energy consumption
reduced secondary heating of molten steel and reduced energy consumption.
4. Reduced environmental pollution: reduced the emission of waste slag and waste gas.
