1. Working principle
Steel pipe shot blasting and rust removal machine mainly uses high-speed rotating shot blasting machine to project abrasives such as steel shot and wire cut shot onto the surface of steel pipe at high speed, and removes impurities such as rust, scale, welding slag, etc. on the surface of steel pipe through the impact and friction of abrasives. 2. Main structure

2.2. Conveying system: It is used to transport steel pipes to the shot blasting area and send the steel pipes out of the equipment after shot blasting. The conveying system generally adopts rollers, chains or belts.

Shot material circulation system: including elevator, separator, screw conveyor, etc. The elevator lifts the abrasive after shot blasting to the separator, and the separator separates the qualified abrasive from the impurities. The qualified abrasive is sent back to the shot blasting machine for recycling through the screw conveyor.
2.4. Dust removal system: used to remove dust generated during shot blasting to protect the environment and the health of operators. The dust removal system usually uses bag dust collectors, cyclone dust collectors, etc.

1. Classification by cleaning method
1. 1 Hook type:
– The steel pipe is suspended inside the equipment by a hook for shot blasting cleaning. This type is suitable for small and medium-sized steel pipes. The steel pipe can be rotated during the cleaning process to ensure that all parts can be cleaned evenly.
– The advantage is flexible operation and can clean multiple steel pipes at the same time; the disadvantage is that the processing capacity for large steel pipes is limited.
1.2 Crawler type: – The steel pipe is placed on the crawler conveyor, and the movement of the crawler drives the steel pipe into the shot blasting room for cleaning. Crawler shot blasting machines are suitable for batch cleaning of small steel pipes and pipe fittings.
– The advantage is high cleaning efficiency and continuous operation; the disadvantage is that there are certain restrictions on the size of the steel pipe, and the crawler needs regular maintenance.
1.3 Roller conveyor type: – The steel pipe is conveyed on the roller conveyor through the shot blasting room, and the shot blasting is carried out during the conveying process. This type is suitable for steel pipes of various sizes, especially large steel pipes.
– The advantage is that the processing capacity is large and it can adapt to steel pipes of different lengths and diameters; the disadvantage is that the equipment occupies a large area.
2. Classification by shot blasting machine layout
2.1 Single-side shot blasting: – The shot blasting machine is arranged on one side of the equipment. When the steel pipe passes through the shot blasting area, only one side of the surface is shot blasted. This layout is suitable for situations where the requirements for the surface of the steel pipe are not high, or it is used as a preliminary cleaning equipment.
– The advantage is that the equipment structure is simple and the cost is low; the disadvantage is that the cleaning effect is relatively poor, and it may take multiple cleanings to meet the requirements.
2.2 Double-side shot blasting: – The shot blasting machine is arranged on both sides of the equipment. When the steel pipe passes through the shot blasting area, both sides of the surface are shot blasted at the same time. This layout can improve the cleaning efficiency and effect and make the surface of the steel pipe more uniform.
– The advantages are good cleaning effect and high efficiency; the disadvantages are relatively complex equipment structure and high cost.
3. Classification by function
3.1 Ordinary type: – The main function is to remove rust and impurities such as rust and scale on the surface of steel pipes. This type of shot blasting machine is suitable for general anti-corrosion pretreatment requirements.
– The advantages are relatively low price and simple operation; the disadvantages are single function and cannot meet some special cleaning needs.
3.2 Strengthened type: – In addition to the rust removal function of ordinary shot blasting machines, it can also strengthen the surface of steel pipes to improve the surface hardness and wear resistance of steel pipes. This type of shot blasting machine is suitable for occasions with high requirements for the surface quality of steel pipes.
– The advantages are good cleaning effect and can improve the performance of steel pipes; the disadvantages are high equipment cost and relatively high operation requirements.
